Wildflowering in the Columbia River Gorge

Wildflowers are blooming!  While we might not have gotten to experience a superbloom, there is still a lot to see.  We stopped by Cottonwood Canyon State Park (Oregon) and Dog Mountain (Washington) to see what flowers were out.

    Cruising through the Caribbean

    Cruising through the Caribbean

Going on a cruise?  It can be hard to get some birding in!  But we believe in trying to bird wherever you can - so we did!  Our cruise took us to Princess Cay, Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk and we were able to see some great birds while checking out the other sites.

Ashy Rats ,

A real birdy podcast

A really interesting listen when the hosts do their trip reports. I appreciate the detail and discussions of the real ins and outs, pitfalls and great areas to bird in the specific locations they visit. Knowing things like the availability of parking, restrooms or gift shops really helps me when I’m planning trips. My favorite episodes are the trip reports.
I also really appreciate that they reliably drop episodes on a schedule. It’s really nice to have something to look forward to regularly and reliably.
