When you fail to take care of your body, which is a gift from God, you can become spiritually distant from God. Taking care of your body, and watching what you put into it, is a form of worship to God. It’s a sign that you are a good steward of the gifts you have been given. Belshazzar was a poor steward of his body, and of the Temple vessels his grandfather had taken.
