Full-timer's Fellowship - Our Real Service is by Prayer

Full-timer's Fellowship - Our Real Service is by Prayer

    Speaker: Minoru Chen,

Since we are working in the Body, we should not serve in an individualistic isolated way, but are supported by & through the Body. We also need to realize that our real service is by prayer. The apostles/disciples had nothing back then to serve with except for prayer. Prayer is the trigger-point that causes all the other outward activities to be effectual. Although we have the Spirit, the Word, and the Body as the main factors of our service, our prayer is the “activator”. In this new year, may we have a renewed consecration to build up our prayer life, to cultivate “upper-room prayer”! To persevere to train our spiritual muscles to increase our capacity for prayer.

Fulltimer's Fellowship - Need for Personal and Private Prayer life

Fulltimer's Fellowship - Need for Personal and Private Prayer life

    Speaker: Minoru Chen,

Within every serving one's life, a personal and private prayer life is most essential. The top example of this is displayed in the service of our Lord. Throughout His busy ministry, He regularly withdrew from the crowds, even the disciples, to pray to the Father in secret (Matt. 14:23). Today, we must exercise to have uninterrupted times with Him to know His will in detail and be refreshed in our commission. May we learn to pray, even for days (Luke 6:12), to gain an ever-deepening relationship with Him that results in the precious mingling for the kingdom.

Full-timers Fellowship - Seeking Heart and a Pursuing spirit

Full-timers Fellowship - Seeking Heart and a Pursuing spirit

    Speaker:  Minoru Chen,

The object of our seeking and our pursuit is none other than God Himself. There comes a time when our serving outwardly may still be there but the inward seeking and pursuit has already stopped or paused. As full-timers have a seeking heart and a pursuing spirit, not the same as years ago but much more than ever. With this there will be a revival, there will be a renewal in our lives, in our service, even in the church life.

Full timer's Fellowship - Learn to Exercise Our Mingled Spirit - MC

Full timer's Fellowship - Learn to Exercise Our Mingled Spirit - MC

In addition to keeping a good conscience, serving ones must also learn to exercise their mingled spirit. There is a problem among the full-timers today that we do not exercise our spirit enough in our service. The first point of contact in our coming and going should be our spirit, but unfortunately it is often our soul. This is because our spirit is too weak. We need to exercise our spirit so that it becomes the prominent part of our being, dominating our soul and directing us in how to shepherd others. Paul speaks of the importance of serving in spirit in Romans 1:9, 7:6, and 12:11. God is constantly working and active, however, He must first stir us up in our spirit, where He is living, to cause us to work with Him. If our spirit is weak and puny we will not be able to move in tandem with the Spirit.
