Zo Williams' episode
This episode started off really well. I was definitely enjoying Zo's perspective and thoughts until he began discussing black women and feminism. He said some problematic things but mainly that black men cannot be part of the traditional "patriarchy" system. I had to take some time and process his words and now I understand what he is saying but I am not sure if I entirely agree with his stance. Black men may be a product of toxicity just like black women however, black men DO police black women, overwhelmingly. They feel the need to tell women how to do things and at times, even how to be a "woman" and that to me is textbook patriarchy. Love the show and keep up the engaging conversations!Read full review »
