The ep with Zo Williams from earlier this year
I went back to find this ep after reading a review I read. I thought Zo was on point when it came to us needing to unpack the homes we come from in order to have healthy relationships. I also admired his stance on this black male patriarchy and black feminism boxes/constructs. Black woman you are feminine vulnerable NURTURING compassionate beings. We need to activate that and then you’ll see just how powerless our fathers had to be and brothers around us. The men have always “followed” us we have the intuition(to lead) but best believe they were protectors, an embodiment of force around us. We do have the power, the power to uplift and increase the man and ultimately our families. Don’t give up on our men you giving up on ya self

I am seeking a therapist. I tried to fight the need to work out my problems alone or with close friends but these episodes have made me realize I need help with someone who can help me professionally walk through this inter-generational trauma and unpack.
