A fall from grace
This was the first podcast I listened to from the beginning after the Weekly Planet, which is a far better podcast. The first episodes of Hey Fam were a breath of fresh air. Their banter was hilarious and natural, and sometimes a little drunk. Over time, however, they lost that humor. Their blatant political views really detract from the fun of their pop culture podcast, and if you don’t agree with them, then you’re the problem, not them. They used to joke about starting a Patreon and become “those” podcasters, but now they rely on it so much that their literally restricting half their library behind a $5 barrier per month. It’s a real shame to see it, and as a former fan, I am utterly disappointed.
