I retired a few years ago and I now listen to lot of radio —RTE radio 1, Newstalk & Today FM. Pat Kenny is the reason I listen to Newstalk —He is head & shoulders ahead of all other radio presenters in Ireland —His diction, his grammar is excellent (as it should be ) —-the reporters on...Read full review »

I always enjoy listening to this radio show and find it very informative and interesting and fair and balanced. Pat Kenny is a very professional broadcaster and comes across very well on radio. He’s not rude or aggressive towards his political guests but still conducts a strong interview.

Lots of people drinks, housewives, ordenary people, like I did, as well. You will realize (or not!) after a while, it is always very easy to slip to drink one more glass. By the time you see it, you could be dependent on alcohol already. Very, very dangerous, and very hard to “ drink...Read full review »

good to hear the young guy, Conor, speak about cocaine, and the reality of its dark side. a hugely important conversation on sep 1st regarding alcohol. I had a ferocious alcohol abuse problem, and I still drink alcohol, it’s very moderate now.

Pat still performing at the top of his game. Asks the hard questions - unlike some other presenters.

Pat, is the best person on the radio! Absolute legend!

Kenny is the most informed, courageous and insightful journalist in Irish broadcasting. He’s always well informed and more than capable of challenging inaccuracies and sometimes downright lies, especially from the political classes and bureaucracy. Confident and capable interviewees have no...Read full review »

A sane voice in all the mayhem over the last two years. Long may he last. Newstalk is hard going tough.

I agree Pat has the touch of a know-all about him. I do enjoy listening to him but he is no Sean O’Rourke when it comes to targeting the questions the punter wants to hear answered by politicians and their ilk.

The only broadcaster I’ve heard that takes politicians and NPHET to task over their handling of the Covid crises. From not quarantining, to spreading fud regarding mask wearing and antigen tests. To the it doesn’t spread in schools hypothesis. Well done Pat.

Newstalk podcasts not updating despite being visible to play . I keep getting the message “ episode unavailable “ . If I do get ANY Newstalk episode to play it can throw off the sequence for playing next or even I can only hear from one speaker in car … beginning to give up on Newstalk and just...Read full review »

Good podcasts of good interviews when they're uploaded. Not enough podcasts uploaded- surely the production team can manage this each day. Would esp like to see the Friday Forum uploaded every Fri. Done great features like Bill Hughes’ movie and Boxed. Keep them comingRead full review »

So obvious what is happening here. Paid to regurgitate a narrative. Boring.

Pat’s a little too keen to show how much HE knows. Curiosity is a good thing to bring to a conversation!

Too often he puts a slant to the question, inserting his opinions. Very arrogant.

Good show covering great topics , but Pat tends to talk over the interviewee to prove his intelligence. Can get quite annoying, the role of an interviewer is to let the interviewee talk

Pats a Good Guy and a great presenter. Always Worth a Listen. Loved when he called Biffo out.

The show is good. But the podcast offering is, unfortunately, woeful. They should upload all segments. But the key news segments (current affairs, politics, etc) seem to be frequently omitted.

Pat said we could get the details on the health insurance on the podcast. It’s not there. It’s a really important one, please reconsider podcasting it.

A good show and interesting stories, but only random parts are podcasted. Why can’t each topic be uploaded? Seems daft!
Andy (ROI) via Apple Podcasts · Ireland · 09/26/19
Pat K is a highly polished presenter with a keen intellect. Whoever decides which parts of the show to podcast has a twisted sense of the good and the mediocre, and leans to the mediocre. Today I uploaded the app to listen back to a good interview by Pat K. Not to be found! Confound it! I have...Read full review »

Kenny can be good. Usually he’s only okay. These radio clips are quite poor in journalistic quality. No thanks.
Iamjoegeary via Apple Podcasts · Ireland · 03/24/19
Really can’t stress how much Pat has deteriorated as a broadcaster. His biases are barely concealed and his disdain for the working class even less.

Why is only half the show available on podcast? Really disappointing, RTÉ manage to podcast every single segment of Sean o rourke. Perfect example is the Friday gathering/ review. It’s never available on pats podcasts for some reason. Get it sorted guys!

Why is the Friday round up of the weeks events never podcast? It’s an integral part of the show. I’m rating the podcast highly but this l at it down

It’s hilarious and sad listening to Stuart and Pat-a couple of old guys reviewing kids music on Newstalk which kids don’t listen to nor do the Newstalk regulars.

There was a piece on gift tax on today’s show (2/7/18) which like many others was not podcasted. Very poor in this area and should at least podcast the whole show and I can find pieces of interest. Otherwise it’s “listen back” which I’d not as user friendly.

An angry right wing man is emerging as Pat becomes less an interviewer and more a pontificator.
