I could have watched these when I was still in college. Maybe I would have passed.

Great overview, very helpful as a catchup/review tool if going back to school and need to refresh

I don't normally bother writing reviews, but the quality of these lectures irked me to the point where I had no choice. I am reviewing calculus for my Masters level Economics courses. I've already worked through some books and thought that some iUniversity lectures, whereby I could see examples...Read full review »

I realize now that I never understood what calculus was actually about. He succinctly presents the points and then proceeds to explain. But his explanations aren't simply derivations and proofs they are intuitive and organized, simple and accurate. Calculus makes sense now.

I'm 57 and haven't taken calc in more than 3.5 decades. Prof. Strang makes what I've long forgotten clear and he does so with clear passion for the subject. Bravo.

Gilbert's tutorials are great. He really explains the main parts of calculus well. I don't feel I'd have ever been able to grasp calculus if I hadn't stumbled across them. Great review of Differential Calculus covered in a fraction of the time as a normal 1st semester Calculus course. I'd recommend it chiefly as a thorough refresher of main points to someone coming back to the subject.

Nice incorporation of real life applications. This makes Calculus seem fun and just an extension of some algebra.
