Description
There are less than 24 hours to go! CTFDN IS FUNDING A HORROR ANTHOLOGY TRILOGY! Pledge today here before time is up: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/craiggroshek/chilling-tales-for-dark-nights-a-scary-stories-col/ In case you weren’t aware, on July 2, 2018, we at Chilling Tales launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a FULLY-ILLUSTRATED folklore-theme short horror anthology inspired by Alvin Schwartz’s iconic series, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. For our audio fans out there, an audiobook edition of every print and eBook will also be produced, featuring epic full-cast productions, with SFX and music, of every story written, and starring your favorite performers. Our initial goal was to produce a single book, with stretch goals to produce a 2nd and 3rd in the series, and finally, a hardcover trilogy with more than 100 original tales of terror. We were fully funded within just one week , thanks to the support of hundreds of proud supporters and horror fans just like you, and were selected by Kickstarter’s own staff as a “Project We Love,” an incredible honor. Just 3 days after being fully funded, we reached out first stretch goal and had officially raised enough funds to make the book a series. Now, we’re making it a trilogy, and we know we can do it with the help of all of you. If we hit our 2nd stretch goal before the campaign ends on August 1st, we’ll officially make room for PUBLIC SUBMISSIONS. That’s right: each and every one of you will have the chance to have one of YOUR stories included in the series, alongside the award-winning, best selling, and legendary authors already on board. If you’ve already pledged your support, you can increase your pledge and partake in some truly excellent rewards right up to the end, and continue sharing the project to help spread the word. If you haven’t pledged or shared the campaign yet, there’s still time to become a part of Chilling Tales history and get your order for your books in, in time to get the first by Halloween! Anyone pledging support of at least $25 between now and August 1st, or increasing their existing pledge by then to that amount, will be entered into a drawing, from which we’ll choose 5 winners at the conclusion of the campaign. Those 5 winners will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with CTFDN creator Craig Groshek, a team of authors, and artist David Romero to have a one-of-a-kind story crafted and illustrated exclusively for them, produced, and featured on our channel! To get entered into the drawing, simply increase your pledge to $25 between now and August 1st, or make your first pledge of $25 or more before the campaign ends. All backers of $25 or more at the campaign’s close will also receive a free electronic and audio book edition of stories by the anthology’s authors deemed TOO EXTREME for inclusion in the book, including tales from Drew Stepek, Blair Daniels, Brian Martinez, Jon Grilz, and many more. In preparation for our campaign, we reached out to more than 50 of the most talented authors we’ve developed relationships with over the years, to ask them to pen an original folklore-inspired tale for the collection, and as a result, each book will contain 30 or more stories from the very best the creepypasta, NoSleep, and anthology horror communities have to offer.
