Description
We're cracking our knuckles in anticipation of Michelle Garza Cervera's feature debut Huesera: The Bone Woman (2022), which tackles pregnancy and post-partum in ways that are comparable to The Babadook and Hypochondriac. Featuring a stunning lead performance by newcomer Natalia Solián, Huesera has great foley work, some good jump scares, and lots to say about queerness and motherhood. Plus: a different kind of fridging scene and an ending that we want to hear from parents about Questions? Comments? Snark?
