Magnificent~*
I recently listened through all of the Horror Queer episodes on Apple and I sincerely enjoyed a lot of what these two have to offer. I love their dynamic and the analysis that they bring to these films. I also love that from the beginning they worked to bring on guests to speak from loved experiences that Joe and Trace simply don’t have. They’re always open to feedback and are willing to say “I hadn’t considered that perspective and I’m open to seeing it,” whether those perspectives are corrective feedback OR just a different view on a piece of media. And of course I love the callbacks and the humor that they do bring to the table. (The episodes where Trace misused “yes, and” to Joe’s chagrin really GOT me.) Trace’s laugh seems like the kind you could pick out in a crowded room, and Joe’s clever wit sometimes sneaks up on me, but when I clicks I can’t help but grin. I’m excited to see where else these two bring us on their journey!
