Scary Mexicans!
This first episode is a turn off, given the racist tone. NOT surprising coming from Fox News. From the beginning, her father recalls their family’s nervousness at the scary “workers” who only had to say “one word” to her and they’d take care of them. So they’re already stoking fear that the scary workers were a threat to Jennifer. Then the brother goes irate on workers who don’t speak English, which automatically makes him and his friend suspicious. And they’re still suspicious, although the shocked and confused humans that they’ve confronted, literally get on their knees desperately proclaiming that they don’t speak English. My condolences to the family but god. They’re trying to replace drywall, they’re not the villains of your nightmares because they have brown skin.

This a “must listen” for anyone who likes true crime podcasts. The producer uncovers multiple new developments that others were unable to do.

It’s very awful what happened to the missing woman. However the passive racism throughout this podcast is unnerving.
