Rick Astley
I have just been so unexpectedly moved (and triggered!) by this episode. Rick cried at least three times and so did I listening and identifying. Thank you for you openness and honesty Rick. Amazing. I saw you in Hyde Park a few years ago and the set was incredible (in the rain if I remember?) and it was so great so finally see you after loving your music when I was a teenager. Thank you for this podcast and I am going to listen again, something that I have never done before to a podcast!

Thoughtful, intelligent, heartwarming and incredibly human. A podcast that provides both entertainment and a space for self reflection.

Brilliant concept for a podcast, shame Sebastian Faulks was almost satirical in his utter lack of self deprecation and acceptance of his own failings. Dolly and Phoebe were excellent.

This is my favourite podcast. The book also is an exceptional read. I rarely read books (beside from THE big names of the history of literature) and get so passionately engaged by the writing. The writing is extraordinary, brilliant, honest and enlightening. It’s a pleasure reading her books.
