“Having previously enjoyed episodes of this show, (especially Tom Kerridge) I was really disappointed to hear the Ed Miliband episode.
His first failure was listed as a failure to get a first at Oxford. Me too, as the saying goes. But then like many people, I failed to get there in the first place.
He and the host together concluded he had anxiety at which point she recommended fortnightly therapy sessions.
All well and good, but have they any idea how disconnected that discussion was from the lives of ordinary people around the world? Maybe they’d like to afford therapy too.
Yes, its a good show idea and format. But there is a thin line between opening up about your life and being self-indulgent and pompous (and I don’t just mean the guests). Producers need to make sure this show is on the right side of that line.”
