Human trafficking is a grave violation of human rights and one of the most heinous crimes committed against individuals, particularly women and children. It is a modern form of slavery, involving the recruitment, transportation, harboring, or receipt of people through force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of sexual exploitation.In this episode of Humans, on Rights our guest, Hennes Doltze talks about the work that he and his team are doing to engage man and boys to prevent sexual exploitation and sex trafficking of women, girls and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. Doltze is the project lead of the EmpowerMen project which is part of the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre Inc. The Empower Men project activates individual men and communities through education, online engagement, law enforcement, support services and research to challenge the cultural norms of sexual exploitation.
