Great information just so boring to listen too!

Wanted to listen to something positive about hypnobirthing because I’m a first time mum and scared... Turns out she made it worse and scared the daylights out of me. Should probably be taken off podcast for being so negative and creating more anxiety!!

Thank you! It’s really calming and I am sure I will listen to it in the D Day!

Very negative

My wife hypnobirthed during her last delivery and it was great, so we wanted to restart the process this time round, and found this podcast. Unfortunately, the woman spends more time trashing birth interventions than she does providing positive birth affirmations. Most of the episode I heard was...Read full review »

You need to purchase the hypnobirthing home series before you judge the product. Personally I loved it. Kathryn has such a relaxing voice. I felt so positive before my first birth, calm and in control. Very different from how I was when I thought about birth a few months earlier. It made such a...Read full review »

Scaremongering, negative and hospital/ care provider bashing!
Bethyyyyy via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/25/19
It is a good insight into positive thinking about birth, but it does talk too much about bad birthing which can cause the fear it is trying to reduce. It’s almost hospital bashing rather than creating a positive mind and embracing nature for a natural birth. Some good and some bad.

I was really hoping to find practical positive birthing and hypnobirthing advice in this podcast but there is so much negativity around hospital birth that I just found it damaging. I do not have another choice besides having a hospital birth with an obstetrician where I live, and all the...Read full review »

I had to stop listening to this podcast after a few minutes as all it talked about was the negative things that would happen during a hospital birth and mentioned many times how the baby would be surgically extracted. I was hoping for relaxing techniques and positive tips for a calm and relaxing...Read full review »

Just because the narrator talks in a calm, hypnotic cadence, doesn’t make this any less scaremongering than the medical advice and intervention it claims to be the alternative to. For example, suggesting that there is another acceptable thing to do than listening to your healthcare professional...Read full review »

After a previous caesarean I’ve been strongly recommended a hospital birth. Kathryn has scared the crap out of me for hospital births! Thanks!

I fell in love with my baby the moment she was born, which was by emergency caesarean and I look back on that moment with pure joy. I wanted to know if hypnobirthing may help during my second, but instead of finding the answer to that question, this podcast describes only the benefits of...Read full review »

Wonderful! I can't believe this is free. It is such a help to anyone who is planning on having natural birth and wants to do it without drugs. There is so much information here. It gives you great advice if things don't go to plan and what to do to make it the best birth experience ever. I highly...Read full review »

Being healthy but over 40 and having gestational diabetes, I was told I would be induced at 39 weeks. Having known two friends whose placenta's started failing at 40 weeks (one resulting in a stillbirth) I was ok with the decision to be induced. I was positive and knew I would work with my body,...Read full review »

I really don't appreciate the anti-medicine aspect of this. I love the idea of hypnobirthing, and do plan to apply some of it to my birth. However, if I don't induce and need medical assistance, that does not mean I then become a caged animal. This type of talk is what makes mothers feel like...Read full review »

Lovely, informative podcast. You learn and meditate at the same time. Great work Kathryn!

This really helped me to relax and not stress about the birth! This also helped me to make better nutritional choices and really helped for a great night sleep. I felt more connected to my baby as well :)
