A Bit Too Condescending
I really don't appreciate the anti-medicine aspect of this. I love the idea of hypnobirthing, and do plan to apply some of it to my birth. However, if I don't induce and need medical assistance, that does not mean I then become a caged animal. This type of talk is what makes mothers feel like failures when things don't go according to plan. I expect a natural birth which I control to the best of my ability.. but my wearing a hospital Johnny-coat doesn't mean I'll lose sense of self. It's just really dramatic and I find it to be quite a turn off.. I wish they could be more open minded, less judgmental and maybe even just slightly appreciative of our MDs who will be making sure we and our babies will be safe.

This really helped me to relax and not stress about the birth! This also helped me to make better nutritional choices and really helped for a great night sleep. I felt more connected to my baby as well :)
