I came in expecting a podcast where Lee Mack and his cohost reflect on various Buddhist teachings. I’ve listened to the first 2 episodes, and what I got was Lee Mack trying to crash a Buddhist retreat by staying in a camper van, and the Co host taking ages telling his retreat stories with Lee...Read full review »

I started meditating many years ago and then inexplicably stopped. This podcast is so funny and I really admire what Neil and Lee have tried to do here. It’s a huge and often complex subject and if you are from a small Leeds working class background it can be confusing. Neil is enthusiastic and...Read full review »

The first say 20 episodes are really excellent as we follow the two finding their way. So many laughs. After this, the production quality and the content start to really suffer. Lee in particular sort of gives up on the show mentally and starts recording without a decent audio setup and also just...Read full review »

Listened to this in lockdown and made me giggle so much. Listening to it again in the office with headphones on and still giggling. Really cheers me up.. love the easy closeness and playful bickering between Neil and Lee, glad it’s not too serious but still gives little nuggets for dipping toes...Read full review »

Two men bicker and argue about who’s the best Buddhist.

Hi Clive & Lee, I tried to email but it’s no longer in service so thought I’d post it here! Just want to say thanks for making your podcast. I first started listening to it a few months ago after briefly going to meditation classes earlier in the year. I didn’t know anything about meditation...Read full review »

Thank you for this interesting and funny podcast. Please continue to make them as they have really helped me and can help others. They offer a lovely and unique way to become interested in meditation.

So much off topic chattering, unproductive conversation. This could be so good.

Teaching people about mindfulness by bombarding them with distracting ads every five minutes?!

Love the podcast but now I have noticed the echo on Neil’s audio I had to stop listening (stopped at episode 20 but started a few earlier)……

Great podcast. I thought Neil was doing a cracking job of running it solo (in fact I thought it was much better with just Neil). Sad it seems to have stopped - feel like I am missing my Sangha. Come one Neil - get your seeking finger out and walk the journey with us.

I love this podcast, Neil and Lee are both great presenters as well as often hilarious. I'm still catching up and have been listening to Neil's episodes with Michael Taft - brilliant and informative even for those of us who have been meditating for a while. But oh my, those adverts 😟....Read full review »

Just starting to listen to this and I totally love it. People are looking at me in my car cracking up and wondering what’s going on!! Literally not sure it’s safe to drive to. Thanks. If meditation doesn’t work this will! Love it.

Every time I try this podcast, attracted by the content, I get about 10 minutes minutes in and give up because of the constant distractions. I’m all up for a less serious approach to Buddhism, and really like the presenters, but I’d strongly suggest they rein in the distractions just a jot, then...Read full review »

Neil, I hope you continue the show and bring us more interviews, the show is so good and I find myself checking back all the time to see if there’s a new episode out. More Dafty Tafty please, he’s a font of knowledge and wisdom.

I came across this podcast by accident, but I stayed because I genuinely found it funny and informative. I think everything that’s being said in the podcast is genuine and honest and I love that! I have enjoyed this podcast from the start. And I recommend listening from the beginning to get a sense of how it has evolved. I have laughed out loud so many times and learnt a lot as I am developing my own meditation practice. Lots of avenues to explore. Neil your guided meditation was so good.
Billygentley via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/30/21
Hi Neil loved your meditation episode 👏👍

Delighted that Neil has continued the podcast, it’s so life affirming abd I love learning more about all aspects of Buddhism in a gentle format. I had podcast overload and deleted a load of things I had grown tired of but this is a keeper.

Found it really difficult to get any sense out of this. Took so long for either of the presenters to make a point due to constant jibes. Also the background music was awful - why was it even needed? Shame as interested in the subject

Episode 41,42 & 43 🤩 Rupert Spira, then Jamie Catto. Different & definitely brilliant & worth the time & energy 🙏

I’m also interested in Buddhism and these episodes are great. It’s refreshing to hear two guys who don’t have Buddhism worked out but want to discuss it in a real and often funny way. Sounds like such a cliche but I genuinely laughed so much at times, my sides hurt.

Thanks Neil for keeping this going. This podcast is so valuable and life changing. Please carry on! How about some guided meditations too? You’d be great.

I was looking forward to the show but it was ruined be Neil’s constant interruptions and attacks of Lee masked as jokes when he was trying to share his views. Neil is very condescending.

Edit: Long holiday. Let me guess… Lee has noticed he’s way out of his depth and that Neil is becoming popular as the ‘frontman’ so has decided to pull the plug. Quite clear from the decline in Lee’s attitude in the later episodes that he’s lost interest. •••••••••• Came here from Lee’s...Read full review »
