Loud hyped ads defeat the purpose

“Depending upon the episode, this podcast can be sedating, informative, and/or uninteresting. There are enough episodes available to find the ones that work for you.
BUT what is contrary to the point of the podcast is as soon as you hit play, a loud hyped obnoxious ad starts. Sometimes there’s two in a row. Having the party song “We are Family” blasting in an 15 second ad is a ridiculous way to start a sleep inducing podcast. If it’s a must, at least have the ad volume lower than the podcast as opposed to louder.
Who signs off on such silliness ?”

“This helps me fall asleep every time! Especially the ones about nature or natural phenomena. One tweak though could be better matching the ad volume with the normal volume- but dunno how ad contracts work! (mostly on earlier episodes)”

“If I were listening to some of these in broad daylight, I’d probably find them pretty interesting. But the genuinely soothing voice (not the weird ‘I’m trying to be soothing’ voice) and pace make this a perfect podcast to stop my brain from going while I’m trying to fall asleep. Thank you!”
