“ILLC has the ideal format for learning Chinese on my daily commute to work. It starts with a very brief intro before launching into the lesson. The host Ashley introduces her co-host who is often a family member or friend, none of whom are professional Mandarin teachers which is a good thing. Why? They don’t always articulate when they speak, which is what I actually experience in real life. Ashley is there to repeat or explain what was said off-script. The pace is perfect for an intermediate learner like myself and I’m able to follow along with the transcript from the website link and review later. I think Ashley’s little co-host Isabelle is adorable and speaks the clearest for me among all the co-hosts!”
