The IC Taught Me Mercy
ICNYU is a model for what a Muslim community could be and should be insha’Allah. The khutbahs from Imam Khalid were a huge part of the development of my Islam. I became Muslim when I was 15 but when I started visiting the IC for jumuah and listening to the khutbahs online during college, it opened up Islam to me in a new way. It helped me evolve from more of a theological and philosophical focus to more focus on the practical and interpersonal components of the religion. I started to focus on how I as a Muslim could bring more benefit to the world and to the people around me. The Rahma (mercy, compassion, love) of Islam truly cane through for me through my experience with the IC. Now with additional khatibs and teachers, especially Imam Suhaib, the ICNYU podcasts are an essential component to understanding and developing your Islam!
Fantastic Sermons, lectures, Khutbahs
Has been great to listen to the great talks that come out of ICNYU. Each of the Friday Khutbahs this Ramadan were fantastic. Would love if it was sorted so that the latest episode comes first instead of having to scroll all the way down to find the latest one, which is how it’s set up currently.
