What happens when excellent quality meets clear bias
The quality of the journalism, investigation, and production on this podcast is top notch. Sadly, they don’t try very hard to mask how they feel about the story. When the opening tag line for every episode of Season 2 is “black man fighting for justice/white prosecutor fighting for execution” it’s annoyingly clear which side they expect the audience to be on. I understand objective journalism is hard but give your viewpoint at the end of the podcast, not continually through your word choice, voice inflection, and attitude. In any case, if you enjoy true crime, you’ll still enjoy the podcast for what it is. It just falls short of what it could have been.

But, so hard to listen to without getting just furious about the ineptitude of the police and FBI in this sad story. Great podcast!
