Loved it until the host became sympathetic to sex offenders
The show is truly well thought out and presented and researched. However, I had to stop listening after the episode in which they discuss the sex offender registries and the hardship it creates for offenders. Sex offenders suffer from a mental illness in which they are attracted to children or sexual violence. This is not cured by prison time. It does not go away after they serve their time. Some may be able to suppress the urge to act on these attractions, but the risk of reoffending is real.

More reviews of In The Dark
This is the best new podcast of the year. The story, music (or lack of), and production keeps me wanting more heart break.

The host and team did a great job researching, producing, and adjusting this show to the latest turn of events. Hooked me with the first episode.

Seems like they are really trying to show the cops were to blame for not finding the kid. It's easy to look back and judge but it's not fair to do so (unless there was corruption). The only one to blame is the guy that killed the kid.Read full review »
