My favourite podcast
I’ve been an avid listener to In Writing since I discovered it during lockdown but shamefully have never written a review (of this or any other pod). But with the launch of Hattie’s book today (congratulations Hattie), I felt compelled to jump on here and thank her for the many many hours of comforting, encouraging and completely enjoyable interviews. Hattie’s interview style is so calm and down to earth - a welcome relief from a world of over the top podcast hosts - and I always finish her interviews feeling newly inspired to continue writing, and comforted by the reminder that there’s no “right” way to write. So thank you Hattie! I will definitely be grabbing a copy of your book and I hope the podcast continues for many more eps.

Hattie Crisell’s presenting & lovely interviewing style makes for a wonderful listen. She puts her subjects at ease and teases out some fascinating insights into the world of word-smithery. Great for wannabe authors everywhere or anyone who enjoys the written word and wonders how it’s done!

So delighted to find this, and in particular the episode with Kit de Waal. If you are interested in the writer’s craft, and listening to writers who are generous in their deconstruction of their craft, without in any way being overblown. Thank you Hattie for creating this wonderful resource!
