Balanced, engaging, well-produced
As an academically-trained historian, I enjoy podcasts that balance entertaining topics with sound research that focuses on the fascinating stories of the past without tainting it with a poor narrator, subpar historical analysis, and a nauseating reliance on politically correct narratives. This podcast is compelling, enjoyable, and authentic. I have found each season intriguing. I enjoy history—it’s my profession—and it is this sort of content that can make everyone wanting to learn about the past.

This was great to hear about the history of early baseball and the details of the scandal and Joe Jackson’s life after pro ball.

There was a lot about Billy ‘the kid’ that I have never heard. Deep dive in to the life of Billy ‘the kid’ and all the people who were involved with him. This is an excellent work of nonfiction.
