“Loved ‘Inside The Exorcist’ so thought I would give this a try. I get the impression that the content is probably just as good. But the advertising is awful. Not only is it too frequent, it also blurs the lines - i.e. the presenter starts talking about how Spielberg was struggling to sleep during the production of Jaws, then this gradually morphs into an advert for a mattress! This makes the ads hard to skip, and makes me as a listener feel like I’m being treated cynically. This was enough to make me give up on the show. I know the producers have to make money, nothing’s really free. I would’ve put up with regular adverts just fine. But I’m not up for hearing about how great white sharks have around 3,000 teeth at any one time and we have only 32 and therefore we should buy X brand of electric toothbrush - no kidding, that line is in there!”
