Anna Haslock: Dot Watching and the Trans Continental Race
Listen now
Description
This week it's all about ultra endurance cycling. Guest Anna Haslock is Race Director for the Trans Continental Race (TCR.) It's a self-supported bike race across Europe, approximately 4,000km. The race was originally set up in 2012 by Haslock's partner, the late Mike Hall, who was one of the best endurance cyclists on the planet. They ran the race together for three years, until Mike's tragic death during a self-supported race across Australia. Anna has continued to organise the race following Mike's death and in 2019 the TCR caught the headlines around the world when a young German female Doctor, Fiona Kolbinger, won the race outright.
