Practical, informed, non-sensational, evidence-based content for the beginner or advanced lifter alike. My gripe, however, is with the Eric guy, you know the white bodybuilder one, the one with the PHD and obscure references, the man who’s bone dry sarcasm makes my skin ashy and the corner of my...Read full review »

I’ve long felt like Omar’s contributions to the podcast have been minimal at best. With Trexler on board, I think it’s become far more obvious that Omar does little to serve the podcast besides periodic interruptions and distractions. He struggles to keep up with most conversations, and his...Read full review »

The best podcast that ever podcasted. There are not enough stars in this rating system for this show. Sometime they will make an episode on something that I wasn’t even particularly interested in, but I listen to it anyway and not only enjoy do I enjoy it, I learn a lot. What kind of Cult member...Read full review »

Eric and Omar are fantastic hosts. When Eric speaks, on the other hand, I have to check if my ears are bleeding. Regardless, the science podcasts are informative and meet listeners at any level of education. I have learned so much and developed such an appreciation of research from this podcast...Read full review »

Seriously?? Look at Arnold’s podcast and learn something….think of the “customer” not your own virtue signalling. At least do shorts.

Long time listener and first time commenter. I followed Trex over from the enemy podcast, though through out the years I was always listening to iron culture as reconnaissance. The banter is incredible and exercise / nutrition science is always nuanced and well thought out. The only thing...Read full review »

Oh boy, what a gem have I found. This podcast goes all in on the banter, just to make a u-turn and deep dive into science. Eric(s) and Omar are incredible in swapping between banter-mode and science communication and the chemistry between all of them makes it the more pleasant to listen too....Read full review »

The Iron Culture podcast, “arm”ed with the holy trinity of fitness, OEE, offers practical, digestible information with a high protein digesting lift index. Truly one of the podcasts of all time, a gestalt union of incredible minds.

Omar and Eric are a fantastic duo who brings many great guests to the podcast. Even though not all episodes fits my interest, they have such a good variety in topics and themes. This is a podcast with many interesting discussions and gives the listeners different perspectives of the discussed...Read full review »

Every Monday I find myself excitingly awaiting a new episode. Being an endurance athlete I’m probably not the most typical audience, but hey, even us weirdos get love from the top of the pyramid. I found putting a few pounds of muscle on my fragile body really helps as a cyclist when I inevitably...Read full review »

The Iron Culture Podcast has been my favorite podcast ever since I tuned in a year ago. Besides the informative content, I really love the humor of the hosts and how knowledgeable they are. You believed it dogmatically and ignored the mountainous sample size of anecdotes to the contrary… You let it be your religion as you kept making bodybuilding your top priority, all the while being below the 50th percentile for size and leanness in the general population… You adopted the “us vs...Read full review »

Omar, the Erics and an ever growing number of amazing guests delivers the goods every time! They bring their expertise, their hunkiness and the latest science, to unite all lifters. They truly stand on top of different objects.

Love the podcast! Eric Trexler is a great addition. I would strongly recommend this to friends who were into lifting, bodybuilding and fitness… if I had any. My only complaint is the lack of content related to the psychological benefits of community pools. There has been a lot of talk...Read full review »

Love the Iron Culture podcast. It’s like the Car Talk of resistance training. Hearing the Erics’ stories was pretty rad. I wasn’t a fan of Helms dropping the G***ed slur in there about when he felt he was slighted by some judging results, but I’m reasonably certain he didn’t know how derogatory...Read full review »

As a fellow 30-something years old Eric, I find other 30-something years old Eric’s to be the most trustworthy source of information. As such by going from 1 Eric to 2 has increased the podcast’s trustworthiness by 100%.

When I first heard about Iron Culture I knew I had to try it but I wasn’t sure how I was going to fit another podcast into my busy schedule. Imo the best of the science based lifting podcasts. Lots of love for Dr.Mike at RP , The good Doctors at BB medicine and the Nuckols’ ( and Trex May he RIP ) over at Stronger by science. The podcast episode 231 “keeping strength when cutting and fibre type specific hypertrophy” at minute 26 in the 18-3second period shows a weird growl we are meant to believe is omar? A 10 billion dollar value, and it’s good. Iron Culture positions itself for all lifters within a complicated fitness space. Iron Culture an idiosyncratic paradigm on its own accord. I was happy to see Trexler on the recent episode for even more Eric representation. But as a Northern European person I’m concerned that the show is propagating America centric linguistic misinformation. I think you should have an Erik or Eerik on your show to balance this out.

I am your biggest fan from Iceland. I listen while I punish the iron in the gym and all too often I laugh out loud at the sense of humour from these two gems. Wow! At first I thought I had found a podcast about the cultural significance of cast iron cookware - e.g. skillets, soup pots, and dutch ovens. I was totally wrong. Having listened to variety of lifting podcasts over the decades, this show is the best. As an old history teacher that loves to lift, the episodes featuring Connor are a real treat. Now I’m going to go find some heavy rocks out here in Western Canada to go lift.

The information from this podcast is great much better than the MacroFactor podcast really. However really disappointed that Eric obviously spent weeks mastering just a elegant Canadian accent only to stop using it after a a couple minutes of the episode.

It pains me to admit that as a pre-teen who worshipped Franco Columbo and The Austrian Oak in the late 80s, the idea of a podcast combining scientific journal research and esoteric humor never crossed my mind. Great information. Guests are always experts. Slice of life attitude, good humor. My only issue is the following: if we finally achieve Omar’s obvious yearning for a fully privatized free-market society, who will build the roads? Has he thought this over before?

Where do I start, on the way to the gym, at home, whilst researching hypertrophy and nutrition (doing 3 things at once, typing, reading, listening). I am a real life, honest-to-god Delaware lawyer who happens to be a cultist. Yes, we actually exist. I think I can explain my love for this podcast by way of analogy.
