More necessary than you think
If one looks at the current state of debate about Muslims in the West, you either have critical reporting from a non-Muslim perspective or pointlessly saccharine and defensive commentary from a Muslim perspective. Riazat (and the Guardian) has crafted something in the middle that does far more than either alternative. By providing a Muslim forum for examining the pluralistic nature of Muslim communities and pitting these viewpoints against each other, the excuses and politicisation can now be effectively challenged. Riazat's sense of humour might come across as cynical, but it's hard not to be cynical about the state of Muslim communities these days. Brave and enlightening, and more necessary than ever.Read full review »

This is a great and insightful podcast that discusses issues concerning Islam in the UK and beyond. I really hope that they keep it going and wish that they would update it more frequently -- at least once a month please.
