I listen to a lot of movie podcasts. This one is hands down my favorite. It’s the only one that talks to directors.

Loved listening to this beauty on the way to work! Can’t wait for more!

Love, love, love behind the scenes stories of movies. And you find out about the stories by interviewing those who made them. Thank you.

...I doubt it. There are probably a few more Hollywood stories from women and minorities than what's featured - long stretches of episodes with only men. Yeah, it's more work to find them, but Seth's a journalist.Read full review »

Just discovered this podcast, and I love it – love the guests, the history that you learn, and the great way the show is presented. Thank you!

Some people are saying Seth is like the Marshal McLuhan of movie discourse.

Informative, intelligent, and funny. My new favorite podcast!

I just found this podcast 2 weeks ago and have been marathoning episodes ever since. Love the little tidbits re behind the scenes mini-dramas and aspects of producing. I have a request and hope they see this: I'd love to hear them do episodes on my 2 favorite films... 🌸THE AGE OF...Read full review »

This is such a fun podcast. The Richard Donner episode is a real standout. Donner was the Man! For movie fans or show business fans mostly.

What a find! You rarely hear directors talk about their process — whether it’s screenwriting, casting, festival runs, or battles with studio heads. But this podcast is all one-on-one conversations with directors of really unique and groundbreaking films, many we forget about. Can’t wait to hear...Read full review »

I liked it but sometimes I felt like they should shut up and play the interview.

Fabulous podcast, I like the hosts and the style of delivery, wonderfully researched and great choice of guests, looking forward to more 👍

This is a weird comparison but this show makes me feel a little bit like Great British Baking Show... the hosts are pleasantly silly, but also smart and very positive; and the guests are interesting even when I don’t know their work. I highly recommend this show!

Excellent. Well researched. Entertaining.

They probably think they’re funny. Why is there a running commentary that interrupts the interview? We don’t care for your interjections or opinions. Let the interviews be the focus of the podcast.

The guests are first class, always interesting, but they edit the interviews so much that you have more time of their comments than of the interview. I miss more of the real interview. I come to the podcast format looking for some freshness, not for reduced interviews. But with guests as Richard...Read full review »

First time listener & I can verify that this is a quality film podcast. The Dan Gilroy Nightcrawler episode was insightful and fun. Keep them coming

Here is a perfect example of a perfect concept gone awry. This is a show of occasionally fascinating interviews, consistently interrupted by two guys doing - what is it even?? - a play by play of the interview, I guess. What an ill-advised concept. Instead of letting these people speak for...Read full review »

Way to go guys! Your combination of interviews and audio clips makes me want to search out, and re-watch, these films, and appreciate those that I haven’t seen. Look forward to the next season!

I really, really hate the theme song, but other than that, this podcast is great. I really enjoy the guests that I never hear on other podcasts. This is good stuff. Funny, informative, and entertaining.

just let the interview flow we don’t need the interjections and explanations of what we just heard it’s very annoying for the listener

Just what the world needs; two more sub-talented morons who don’t know when to shut up. I tried listening to the William Friedkin episode about filming The Exorcist. What I got was snippets of an interview constantly interrupted by two jackasses explaining what we just heard Friedkin say, in case...Read full review »

The guys know their stuff and get great guests but the episodes suffer quite a bit from presentation. Legends such as Friedkin and Bogdanovich are frequently cut off by the two hosts chiming away from the interview. Sometimes the context is helpful but more often than not, time is taken up by...Read full review »

Take a journey with Seth and Chip down Hollywood memory lane and learn dirty & dark secrets and nice & neat facts as they interview some of the more colorful figures of cinema’s past. The only problem with the podcast is that there aren’t a zillion episodes!!

The concept is good - loved hearing from William Friedkin. The problem is the choice of hosts. They are painful to listen to. The banter is so desperate and juvenile that it would lead you to believe they could care less about the subject matter. Bring on a host/hosts who actually have respect...Read full review »

Wonderful podcast that actually manages to show a sweet side of Tinseltown; whether it’s the lifelong friendship’s formed for the cast of Charlie’s Angels or the determination of Disney Screenwriter Linda Wolverton, there is much talent and artistic integrity being celebrated here. I recently heard the “interview” of Tim Blake Nelson. Unfortunately, the hosts chatter took up about 80% of the “interview.” Also, the hosts went on a social justice warrior critique of all the Coen Brothers films. This podcast sells itself as an insiders trip down memory lane. It is not. ...Read full review »

Nah
Why would you interview a legend and then chop it up into tiny pieces so that the podcast could consist of 90% gibberish spouted by two utterly insufferable hosts? Laters.

I think this is a fantastic podcast. You guys had me hooked from the first episode. I think the banter between the hosts and the guests are truly terrific. I love the chemistry and the humor. I can’t wait to listen to more. -Andy Samwick

While I enjoy hearing the stories from the subjects the two hosts seem more interested in their own voices and it tends to get old fast.
