Love the current direction and theme of the show. J has really seemed to grow into his role as a podcast host and teacher.

Love this show because there is such a wide range of stimulating topics and guests. Just listened to Andrew Eppler’s show from August 6, 2023 and he seemed so wise and really went deep Into philosophy. They really got into the heart of yoga. Thank you J. Brown for keeping it real!

I really enjoy the casual yet genuinely inquisitive nature of these conversations. I think John Porcell (aka Paramananda Das) would be an amazing guest on this podcast. @thehardcoreyogi

Would do the host some good. Intriguing people as guests, who would have to tell theirs with a lot more profundity, if only JB would let them; the host voices incessantly what he calls "it resonates with me" & then again & again rattles on with his anecdotes, on & on...Read full review »

Thank you, J. for always sharing your humility with grace. You help us feel like we’re really all on this journey together, even though we have our own paths to walk–and sometimes that path is muddy, or rocky. You listen to others perspectives with sincere openness; sometimes pushing back,...Read full review »

Do not listen to this terrible podcast - J Brown clearly has massive insecurity complexes and cannot stay on point while interviewing his subjects but rather constantly self references and compares his own teaching to his guests who are more accomplished than he is. Additionally he is terribly...Read full review »

I rather enjoyed the episode with Katchie. But I’m not emotionally invested in the topic, so I was able to listen intellectually and really consider her points. Clearly the problem is that in 2021 free speech is in jeopardy—that’s the broader issue that those of us over 50 took for granted until...Read full review »

I was hesitant to give more than 3 stars because mr brown seems very agreeable with whatever guest he has on. But I was happy to hear him stand his ground. I am the mother of a transgendered 11-year-old. I was introduced to this podcast because of that. I am also a yoga teacher of 20 years. On this week’s episode (4/5) on gender issues, J said in the outro that he’s learned his lesson about how to handle this topic. But has he? J. has no business calling himself a yoga teacher if he’s going to release such hateful, transphobic content into the world and then gaslight the people he’s harmed. There are other great yoga podcasts out there, and I’d encourage you to check them out and skip on this one.

UNBELIEVABLE, harmful, transphobic, ridiculous, political innuendos by both the guest and the host. Don’t bother watching and giving attention to this garbage. If I could give .25 of a star I would.

The episode with Katchie Ananda was grossly uninformed and harmful. First of all, Katchie, a cisgendered person, should not be the one speaking about this. Plus, she’s severely misinformed on even the base level of what it means to be trans. This is an appalling episode. Harmful to trans folks.

I can’t even believe this episode aired. As a yoga teacher, you had a platform of unity and peace to uphold, and you have failed miserably. This is spreading hate and misinformation. Appalling.

Completely appalled by the conversation with J. Brown + Katchie Ananda. Irresponsible. Harmful. Misinformed. And this type of cisgendered, privileged narrative is the type of dialogue that makes people feel it is OKAY to harm and take trans lives. Privileged. Pretentious. Hurtful. Please do better.
