    The penultimate episode of season two is a sports commentary special, and who better to welcome to the show than the brilliant Jonathan Pearce. Jonathan’s instantly recognisable football commentary has been the perfect accompaniment to many great moments over his incredible forty-year career, and ‘JP’ continues to operate as a front-line commentator for leading football broadcasters. As well as covering over 3,000 football matches including 10 World Cups, Jonathan was the voice that helped make TV show ‘Robot Wars’ as popular as it was in the late 90s/early 2000s.

    Tim Henman

    Tim Henman

    Episode eight sees Jiffy and Stubbsy welcome a true British tennis legend to the podcast, none other than Tim Henman OBE. Tim was the British number one for many years and reached a career-high ranking of world number 4, winning 15 career ATP titles and reaching the semi-final stage of Wimbledon on four occasions. In 1998, Tim was the first man to reach the semi-final stage of the Championships since Roger Taylor did so in the 1970s and his influence on the famous tournament has been profound over the years. Tim now  works as an established tennis commentator & broadcaster, as well as having a large influence within the Wimbledon organisation.

    This week, Jiffy and Stubbsy welcome two brothers instrumental in Exeter Chiefs' rise to the top of European rugby, recently crowned Premiership and European Cup champions, Sam and Joe Simmonds. The last year has been exceptional both individually and for the Chiefs. Sam was recently named European Player of the Year, whilst Joe became the youngest ever player to captain a side to European Cup and Premiership glory, aged only 23.

Through Matchroom, Barry has been integral to the growth and development of a number of sports including snooker, darts, boxing, pool, fishing and more, and had a stint in professional football as the chairman of Leyton Orient FC between 1995-2014.
