“I love you guys and love the podcast, but think the gun discussion in the latest episode was flippant and irresponsible. I imagine you put thought into it given recent school shootings, but I think this is a topic carrying too much immediate danger to be discussed in the same tone as the other topics on the show. I’m sure Oliver’s kids are exactly as responsible as he trusts them to be, however some listeners are likely to be parents who feel the same about their kids and find out they’re wrong. Even with all the precautions in the world, unanticipated tragic events happen, and if you had wanted to tackle this topic intentionally, I think it would have been best to have an expert guest. Hope this comment is received with the good intention it was written- to have listeners pause before internalizing the latest episode.”
