The information is timely because I’m over 65 and had recommended bone density scan. The scan showed bones are thinning and my doctor has requested I start taking calcium and vitamin D. I haven’t purchased the calcium supplement yet and I’ve already been taking vitamin D for the past several months. The info given about a brand name drug gave me pause because I know the doctor wants to discuss other options at my physical. I feel these supplements or drugs might be worst than just working on weight loss and finding some type strength training I’m able to do (already have bone on bone shoulder joints).”
