This was once my absolute favorite podcast. However, Season 8 is essentially unlistenable...first of all, the Alex Murdaugh trial ended a year ago, so the extreme delay automatically makes this less compelling. Second, prior seasons included commentary from legal experts and analysis. Now, this...Read full review »

The new shorter highly edited episodes have made this show more frustrating than it’s worth. It used to be a great binge to be able to play and hear long segments of trial coverage. Please just release an episode a week that actually provides enough content to follow along rather than a clip...Read full review »

Really stringing this series out. Good podcast but 1-2 episodes a week and it’s not even half way.

I was a fan of this podcast when it provided testimony and followed-up with commentary. Now it’s almost all unfiltered testimony— including such minutia as the (uncontested) qualifications of experts, names and details of software or guns that do not ultimately impact the case, etc. Moreover,...Read full review »

I was a HUGE fan of this show for the first few seasons. Super insightful and just well constructed, and the access to courtroom audio was incredible. But the format seems to have morphed from “courtroom audio plus fantastic insights that shed light on the legal process” to “just courtroom...Read full review »

Is there going to be any analysis of the Barisone case or are you just going to keep replaying court audio. I could go to YouTube if I just wanted to watch the trial. Put in a tiny bit of effort and provide some analysis. Thanks.

Please just do less updates with longer episodes. The fragmentation interrupts the fluidity of the narrative and it doesn't have the same impact. I used to listen to this podcast religiously until the show format changed. Every time I'm starting to become invested, the episode ends or...Read full review »

I relistening to Seasons 1 and 2 because I’m obsessed with Kary and John and Charlie, but it would be amazing to have the seasons accessible in a drop down and for the episodes to automatically play in order. I don’t know why the user interface differs between podcasts? Now, when an episode ends,...Read full review »

This podcast is fantastic. I will especially miss the daily episodes with John Lewin which I looked forward to everyday after my own (much less interesting) days in court. The legal analysis in the Rittenhouse trial was also exceptional. Can’t wait for the next season.

I’m obsessed with the up-to-date coverage and Charlie Bagli’s commentary at the end of the the first season of the Robert Durst case. I also love love love the John Lewin season. Hearing his thought process is fascinating. Love this podcast 🤍

Well done. Glad I found Jury Duty!

I appreciate that you have devoted so much time to the inner working of the Durst trial. John Lewin was masterful in his prosecution and I’ve enjoyed listening to his preparation strategy. Thanks again!
chonchosmith via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/25/22
I’m enjoying the interviews with John about his approach to Durst’s trial. I wonder what John’s thoughts are about the Kyle Rittenhouse trial and the approach of the prosecutor.

No way to contact the hosts. On the John Lewin episodes, please do a better job of reminding listeners who the witnesses were. Just a one sentence reminder. Please. Lots of audio issues. Apologies aren’t enough. You want to be professional podcasters, learn how to prevent the audio issues.

Excellent commentary and walking listener through Arbery trial. Please continue walkthrough of federal case. I too am waiting for Rittenhouse and Durst trials to be over. I know there are podcasts are covering Murdaugh case, but it would be great if you could do those trials.

Just binged Season 4 and finally caught up. Wow. Wasn’t as interested in this case, but came to find it so fascinating and evenly portrayed from this unique perspective. LOVED the law prof recaps! Can Abbe do Season 5?!? :)

Updated. When will Rittenhouse be over?? I stayed subscribed but just keep marking them played. Have no interest in it. I may unfollow for awhile and come back another time if I remember to. I agree with other’s criticism of the episodes being too short and redundant. I’ll wait unlit I hear the episodes on the defenses witnesses, Rittenhouse’s testimony and Kary and Abbe’s commentary before deciding if I think they’re biased but I’m not hopeful.

I find this podcast fascinating. Each case has its own flavor. I sometimes wish there was more exploration of the social conditions that fuel each act that brought about the case and how the case is handled. I also have a burning desire to know if you truly squeal with delight when you teach that...Read full review »

Rittenhouse-Why did I expect an unbiased, factual assessment of this case? My bad. Won’t be back for any more Seasons. Durst Trial Seasons-Well done! The depth of expertise, production, explanations and analysis were helpful.

elliott_05 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/20/22
If you subtract the host’s verbatim pre-reading of audio from the video’s played in court, roughly 5-7 minutes of content. Plus there’s a NPR vibe to the opinion of the host. Nothing direct, but it fairly obvious where he’s leaning.

Listening to the Kyle Rittenhouse trial season and am interested in hearing an unbiased podcast about it, but this isn’t unbiased. The dripping contempt for the defendant is blatant. The words and phrases used make their personal opinion of the trial obvious. I wish it could just be a fact based...Read full review »

This is hands down my favorite podcast. I have shared the Durst coverage with a dozen people. I wish the latest season did not have these short episodes! I would rather wait a week then listen to 15 minutes which in 12 minutes is content. Still rated it a five though because I love it.

Good grief! I wouldn’t have her for my defense attorney. She says clearly rosenbaumb wasn’t armed because he was wearing shorts! Good gawd woman! How dumb can you be??! Hyped up on cigarettes??? Yeah... ppl are high on Marlboros and getting into gun fights. Geez.

Heard your message about the shorter shows but they are now too short😢 I’d rather have less show’s and one long one so the content isn’t broken up like it is now.

I started listening because of the Robert Durst case but I really enjoy the coverage of each trial so far with the exception of the Rittenhouse trial-why such short episodes when there’s so much content to include. Please give us more!!

I love this podcast but in my opinion the episodes are way too short. Especially since this podcast covering trials.

I have loved your previous trials but not enjoying the Rittenhouse as there seems to be biased reporting. It’s very evident you believe Kyle got preferential treatment.

I love the daily updates with recordings of the trial highlights. Regarding Durst, the verdict has been vacated and Bob is innocent. Galveston (love that song) was self defense. These creeps in Georgia are another matter. Guilty Guilty Guilty

Kary Antholis brings his A game to every episode of this excellent podcast. The guests are also outstanding and the trial coverage is comprehensive. Fantastic listening.

… it is too long (50+ episodes) and repetitive. Season 1 was not too bad but season 2, especially with the addition of a host to chat about the case, was too much.

Apple podcast app is rubbish, but mine the less, the verdict was given on episode 18 out of 33????? Otherwise it was brilliant until the massive spoiler in the middle!

The episodes keep getting shorter and shorter with less purpose for each episode. And the amount of ad space keeps increasing. I finally unsubscribed today. The ads were driving me nuts.
