“Great podcast about Japan. He covers a wide variety of topics and always has interesting guests. It's refreshing to hear about topics that don't focus on Tokyo because there's already plenty of that information available. I've particularly enjoyed the episodes about Okinawa, Hokkaido, and people who travel within Japan.
The quality has gotten better over time. A minor complaint is that the host will ask a question, then when the guest starts to answer, the host will continue to explain the question in more detail. This is especially noticeable when he's talking with a guest over Skype and there's a delay between the two.
Let the guest speak! It's not a big deal though, and actually I find it kinda funny every time it happens.
Many other podcasts about Japan have died out over the years. I hope this one continues.”
