Description
Recorded during lockdown in their homes, Katie speaks with chef, entrepreneur, novelist and TV star Prue Leith, who is video-calling from her home in the English countryside. Prue has been at the top of the British food scene for decades, opening her own restaurant Leith's in 1969 that led to a Michelin Star, then in 1975 she founded the Leith's School of Food and Wine, which has trained some of the UKs top chefs. Prue is no stranger to television having spent years critiquing food on The Great British Menu, and recently she won our hearts as judge on The Great British Bake Off, all whilst writing eight novels, and countless cookery books! She's had a truly extraordinary life, which she recently opened up about in her Channel 4 documentary 'Prue Leith: Journey with My Daughter', where Prue and her adopted daughter Li-Da travel to Cambodia to explore Li-Da's roots and heritage. Katie and Prue speak honestly about the highs and lows life brings, and her career ambitions she has yet to fulfil.   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
