Life changing
After a horrific experience with plastic surgery, I found my face altered when a cowboy surgeon decided to do things I didn’t ask for and gave me facial nerve damage and disfigurement. Katie Piper, her books and her podcasts gave me the courage to live and live well, despite never being able to go back to the old me. This was a small procedure right as I had finished a masters degree, and was meant to boost my confidence as I entered a new and exciting time. I had to learn to reframe my life instead and deal with PTSD, depression and fear/dread of my future… none of which I had ever encountered before. Katie gave me the road map, along with a woman named Carol Bryan in LA (Saving Faces), who had walked a similar road to me with plastic surgery done in an egregious manner leaving her disfigured and had come out the other side. She spoke to me and continues to be a dear friend now and I credit Carol and Katie for showing me that my life was not over. Katie, can you interview Carol Bryan? She is one the only advocates for people like me as the stigma of plastic surgery gone bad tends to shame the victims and is a silent epidemic. Thank you for your willingness to share your story and give a roadmap to hope for those of us who have suffered a life altering event.

More reviews of Katie Piper's Extraordinary People
The 3 adverts are rather annoying . I found the interview interesting as had not heard of the guest. Sometimes Katie cuts their answer short and asks another question. I still don’t know what happened in the later years as that was over quickly .
