Church, hear your worship leaders’ hearts

June 2021
Worship War 1: what a great discussion, no necessary discussion these last few episodes. Choosing UNITY over differences is vital to the church today and tomorrow. Jesus can’t be pleased if we divide over musical preference. Josh and Bailey, you hit the nail on the head teaching about the good, bad and ugly of both traditional and contemporary styles. Thank you for putting all our worship style preference differences in the proper perspective. They are real and important to us individually but we must choose to worship the God who created the universe corporately with ALL our brothers and sisters in Christ! Thank you again, guys!

Thank you Josh and Bailey for letting us church members and lay ministers hear what’s going on in our own music ministry. Unfortunately, in the 23 years since joining Spotswood, I’ve witnessed people with good intentions unwittingly draw dividing lines within our church related to worship music styles. Obviously, some of this revolves around personal taste, but I’m sure there is a mistrust of the unknown or unfamiliar. I think your candid and transparent discussion will do a lot to break down those barriers so we can worship Jesus together, across generations and music styles! Great job guys!

Great Podcast!

Big fan of Bailey’s song segment at the end. Also love the way Josh explained the intentionality of a lifestyle of worship. I could have listened to another hour of this. Great chemistry/natural flow. Didn’t feel awkward at any point and had good energy. Great explanation of the name/purpose. I like the way y’all said a podcast fits everyone. Stoked for more!!

Also, whoever came up with that name is genius!
