Keeping Up With The Dirtbirds DirtBirds are Ireland's leading comedy duo Sinead Culbert and Sue Collins.

In our final episode this season, we spoke to playwright, Elaine Murphy Elaine has won awards for her incredible writing and had her words read on the Abbey Theatre stage. Not only that, she is also Sinead’s next door neighbour - Elaine pinches herself every day.

In 2022, Elaine’s adaptation of Maeve Binchy's Circle Of Friends opened in The Gaiety Theatre, Dublin to incredible reviews. And in this episode, she shares how she does it all and about how taking a risk can be terrifying but in the end, worth it. She is some woman for one woman and we hope our chat inspires you to live your dreams too.

This week we're talking all about parenting back in the day versus now.

When Sue and Sinead were junior Dirt Birds, they napped on railway tracks for fun (Sinead) and stayed out on the green each day playing rounders for 18 hours (Sue). But kids these days just ain't the same. And now, as we're now winging it as parents, we decided to get an expert in to give us some much needed advice.

In this episode we talked to Helen Neary, a chartered coaching psychologist who shared her expertise and knowledge on all things parenting. Get out your pen and paper because Helen gave us so much great advice (and Sue and Sinead brought the lols). Enjoy!

This week, we have somehow managed to get Labour leader and TD for Dublin Bay South Ivana Bacik on the pod!

Ivana has been involved in politics since her student days and was first elected to the Seanad in 2007 but it goes without saying that appearing on our podcast is the highlight of Ivana’s life so far. In this episode, Ivana shares her love of her old school Filofax, the stress of a remote control and teaches Sue and Sinead all about The Cinderella Complex. Psychotherapist and co-host of Tough Love podcast, Stephanie Regan visited Dirtbird HQ to talk all about relationships and to give Sue and Sinead (and you the listeners) some much valued advice.

During the chat, Stephanie talked about the importance of paying your partner compliments, the realities of scheduling sex and how to keep the connection going with your significant other. Sue and Sinead also share their tales of what causes tension in their own marriage, competing over who does the most housework in their relationships and why there had been no sex since 1983.
