It may be my fault for listening (on a recommendation) but I found this self-indulgent. I mentor at the local sixth form and was seeking to recommend something for an A-level Film Studies student to follow. He needed to broaden his knowledge. Twenty minutes in and all he would have got was marbles and drink trollies. Need it be this long???

This is great for those who can't listen to the radio on a Friday afternoon. Kermode and Mayo work well together and don't take themselves too seriously. I always look forward to this one.Read full review »

The film reviews are purely coincidental; although Kermode's depth of knowledge about films and review style make compulsive listening, the true genius of this podcast is the banter, bickering and interaction between the host (Mayo) and his guest (Kermode) - or is it the other way around?...Read full review »
