Gender Fluid Constitution? No
I listened to the discussion about Roe and was surprised by a shockingly ignorant understanding of the US constitution. These podcasters believe that our constitution is governed by how they feel the words should mean rather than what they actually mean. They believe the constitution is in essence a gender-fluid document—subject to change as one changes their feelings. And the discussion on Roe was not based on the legal issue, but the morality of abortion. Insert a lot of morality talk about whether abortion kills a baby or lump of cells—which seemed to get too self-righteous and haughty at times. As anyone knows, who has read the constitution, it sets forth very specifically the rights we enjoy as American citizens—with an EXPRESS mechanism to amend it when a supermajority of country agrees to do so. That’s the genius. It is not a few elite people deciding what the constitution should mean today based on new libertarian/non-binary ideology. That’s why Roe is getting reversed. A group of Republican appointed justices issued Roe without any basis—and has been widely trashed by every legal scholar, including RGB. If you want a new right, go thru Congress and state legislators. Not the feelings of a few non-binary judges. Judges do NOT make up new rights. That’s the whole point. States do. PS Joe Rogan is a libertarian like most of the country. AKA, Don’t tell me what to think, or What to say. Nobody gets special treatment. Pay your debts (though he wants no student debt strangely—I smell some socialist in him there). Don’t tell me how to live in my home and I won’t in your’s. Don’t steal. Don’t kill. Live and let live. That’s Joe Rogan and the vast majority of the country. 3/5 stars.
