“I normally love Ladies, it's one of the few podcasts I am completely caught up on. But, as a woman who has struggled with accepting my body ofr most of my life, I have to say the ending of the Body IMage episode was really terrible. Yumi reinforced that you're going to keep on looking terrinle, that your looks matter. I understand she was trying to be lighthearted, but why not end on 'you're wonderful just the way you are?' instead of 'you look the best you ever will again, today'. IDK, for me it was a really sour note, and bought it back down after the more positive messages within the episode. And, obviously, I can't seem to let it go. Anyway, still love it. I just feel like the importance was placed back on women looking 'bad' as they age (which, havent you done an episode on ageing??) and youth = beauty instead of wonderful at any time of life.”Read full review »
