Smart, insightful Lakers-focused basketball analysis
The Laker Film Room podcast has been a godsend the past two seasons. From last year’s championship run to this year’s first round exit, I’ve listened to and enjoyed almost every episode whether it was previewing or reviewing a big game or simply digging into some of the minutia of Lakers basketball. Co-hosts Pete Zayas, Darius Soriano, and Mike Trudell provide smart, insightful Lakers-focused basketball analysis at every turn. In a world where big time sports media is dominated by hot takes from loud-mouthed “experts,” the LFR podcast guys regularly resist hyperbole and instead offer thoughtful, nuanced commentary. It’s refreshing to listen to sports talk that is not of the knee-jerk, prisoner-of-the-moment variety. Their season ending episode was exactly the kind of level-headed catharsis I needed after helplessly watching the Lakers’ season end in frustrating fashion last night. If you’re a Lakers fan, you should absolutely check out the Laker Film Room podcast.

The guys provide an entertaining, informed, and intelligent analysis of everything Lakers. Truly high-quality stuff, and always worth listening to, despite (because of?) how many times Darius says "right?"Read full review »
