“I love podcasts that inform me, but this one doesn’t. I listen to this callow group and wonder whether they really graduated from law school. I doubt it. If you are going to speak about, for instance, Uber proposing to acquire grubhub and members of Congress writing antitrust authorities to encourage close review, you might want to discuss entry barriers in the context of apps. That would be informative. Or perhaps tell readers that concerns about impact on workers are not the stuff of antitrust. And if you are going to speak of law firms potentially downsizing offices and then use Cravath as an example, perhaps be aware that cravath may have palatial office but they were at the forefront exactly 30 yrs ago when they moved from 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza to a down at the heels neighborhood on 8th Ave blocks away from a porn theater in the summer of 1989. How do I know that? I was a legal assistant there when they made that move right before I went off to law school. But to know this would require actual, you know, research instead of gum flapping. I don’t need a legal podcast from ignorant know nothings.”
