“I was a Chinese major at my college, Brigham Young University. I love the language and need a way to keep it up, in whatever way possible. This podcast is literally the most practical way that I can keep my language up without having to struggle to find things applicable to my learning. Their lessons last about 20 minutes each and as long as you use the online lesson guides, you will really learn Chinese very quickly. I would say that this is for the intermediate and semi-advanced learner that simply wants to maintain and improve vocabulary. That is the position I am in. Perhaps after a few years, I might more casually listen to this podcast and listen to more news broadcasts and such, but for now, this is absolutely fantastic. They really set it up from a more academic perspective and make it very convenient for you to learn each podcast they do.
When they do the news reports, they first speak the report slowly and then do it again, but at normal Chinese speed. Seriously, the designers really understand the methods of Chinese language learning. Very impressive.”
