Too much English spoken and the French speaker sounds like she gave up on life.

I subscribed to this podcast about 2 years ago and recommend pre-paying for a pack of their pdfs so that you can download the sheets with vocab that suit your level. I recommend LFBP to my students studying French at Plymouth University. Certain episodes are perfect as homework activities in...Read full review »

I started using LFBP in 2012, now in 2022 I am reviewing to brush up. The material was excellent then, and it is excellent now. The lessons are packed with all the elements of effective language learning. Also, it must be said that if you purchase the lesson guides you own them! A rare but...Read full review »

We started listening to this podcast over 15 years ago. I spoke not a word of French. I now can speak French. The podcasts are layered. I go back and listen again and again and still learn something new. Learning a language is for life.. David and Jackie Fegan AUSTRALIA

I’ve tried several online language learning methods and this podcast is the best I have found. Really well made and very useful. In conjunction with their online PDF texts and a bit of study time it's almost a complete French course. Brilliant.Read full review »

This is a very good platform for learning French, but it is use also as a loudspeaker for leftist politics. The dialogs are written in a way that makes that abundantly clear. I did not come here for politics… I have my own opinions and I prefer to think for myself, but otherwise the choice and...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to these podcasts and following their pdfs, and I cannot tell you enough how much I love their method of teaching! It gets a bit french heavy at times, but when I go back and practice I can see how much I have learned in the end! Great Job!

This is a great podcast. The topics are very interesting. The pace is great and the method is very clear. Decided to write a review as some other reviewers are confused about where to find the lessons’ transcripts - they are all on the LFBP website, very nicely done, clear layout, covering the dialogs, extra examples, all new words used in a lesson, and exercises. The answers to the exercises are all...Read full review »

Taking the time during Lockdown to learn French and it is really helping so far. the topics chosen are not just textbook topics but real life things.

Exactly what i needed. Allows for educated conversations versus too beginner or too advanced. This gives great vocabulary plus the topics chosen are excellent and informative. Also the translations word for word help not only worth knowing the words but how to apply them in context. Thank you!

You need to break down each phrase or sentence in English before moving on to the next one. Too many instances where you say 3-5 different sentences in French before saying them in English. May be ok for an intermediate but definitely not from lesson one which you would expect to be for beginners
