Taking Action on Reconciliation (D&I) – Ian Crowhurst and Brigitte BinAwel
Listen now
Description
In the spirit of reconciliation Learning Uncut acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present. Reconciliation is an important issue and piece of unfinished business in Australia. It is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all. In this episode we will hear about how Origin has been taking action on reconciliation since 2015. I’m joined by Brigitte Bin Awel who is a specialist consultant in Diversity and Inclusion at Origin, and Ian Crowhurst, the Head of Learning and Development and Talent for Origin. They introduce us to their Reconciliation Action Plan and the contribution of learning and development to building cultural awareness in support of their reconciliation efforts.
