It has a good plot, but that isn't enough to redeem it.
K, so I kept listening up to episode ten because I thought that the plot had promise. There are several things that made me stop listening. A. The atrocious grammar. Taylor needs to learn the difference between is and are, was and were, and have and has. The syntax was rather awkward as well, filled with redundancies that made the story painful to listen to. B. It appears that he is attempting to imitate Tolkein's style. Unfortunately he does this rather miserably. His insertion of detail is awkward and rather unnecessary. Rather than reminding me of Tolkein, it reminds me of Interview for a Wizard--albeit much worse--which isn't a compliment as English isn't J.A. Arreces mother tongue. C. The narration literally puts you to sleep. There have been times when I've been listening to this pod cast during the middle of the day and fallen asleep listening to it. Taylor should put more life into his narration like Scott Sigler does, or maybe he should try full cast audio and spare us the monotonous drone of his voice.
