“I recently discovered this podcast, almost by accident, since I’m notorious for being bored with podcast within the first 5 minutes. I was skeptical at first, but my love of Greek Mythology told me to take a chance. I was hooked at the start and have been listening as often as I have free time ever since. Not only do I love the stories and Liv’s interpretations of them, I can’t get enough of her ability to navigate the churning waters of what is understood as fact vs fiction. Her feminist outlook on the mythology and how the patriarchal machinations of that era (and lets be honest, modern society) have effected how we perceive history and myths is refreshing. Not only am I learning a ton, I’m also laughing my head off at her dry humour and way with words. I would totally recommend this podcast to anyone who is remotely interested in mythology.
I will end by saying that the episode about Arachne and Medusa (Ep. XXXI) left me speechless and wanting to go back and listen to it all over again. The way that Liv weaves (pun intended) the story together does these tales so much justice and lays out so many emotions is truly remarkable. I am so looking forward to continuing through the podcast and “catching up” on all of the other episodes!”

“The way the speaker, Liv, narrates these stories and myths is so dry and full of sarcastic quips that I have to physically brace myself from bursting with laughter in the most inappropriate locations. As it is, I get inquisitive looks as to why I’m grinning so widely.
